As the game begins you quickly note a few things:
How did you get yourself into this predicament? Apparently, just before your capture by the king's guards you managed to hide the ten rings somewhere in the halls and pits of the tomb. If only you could remember where. Then you could find and return the rings to the king's sarcarfagus. Thus ending your cursed existence. As you find each ring you will be blessed with one more magical power. It will require the power of all ten rings to set the final trap sealing the tomb forever freeing you from your accursed job as guardian of the innermost chamber. Seems easy enough. At least it would be easier if the tomb had not been designed as the most impassible set of labyrinth mazes the builders could devise. Don't worry about food, water, or rest. As a cursed skeleton you get none of these. But you do get plenty of friendly and unfriendly fellow denizens of the dark, an unending supply of wrong turns, and job security. What more could a failed master thief want? |
